Significado Sacudir / agitar las mangas - Furi (Sacudir / Agitar) Mangas (Sode).
El furisode era una forma de kimono que usaban tradicionalmente las mujeres solteras, representado por las mangas alargadas (Sode).
En épocas anteriores, las mujeres agitaron sus mangas hacia la persona por la que se sintieron atraídas, lo que llevó al uso moderno de la palabra agitar (Furu) en un contexto romántico. (Furu / Futta) Rechazar / Rechazar.
Una vez que las mujeres se casaban, acortaban las mangas de su kimono para significar que solo amarían a su esposo.
